Gdansk; the Baltic pearl

If someome could ask me which city I would like to visit once again, I would answer Gdansk. This is a city on the Baltic coast in northern Poland, at the centre of the country's fourth-largest metropolitan area. Being one of the most important seaport in Poland.

30th June when I Arrived to Gdansk from Oslo Rygge (Thanks Ryanair!). I should say that one of the main reasons to be in Gdansk was the Open'er Fest in Gdynia on July 1st where Pearl jam played. I didnt have any idea how to arrive to Gdynia from Gdansk. But It doesn't matter when there are friends. With a little help of some friends (and with a little help of the most amazing person I've ever met in my life) I could have a place where to stay and how to arrive to Gdynia.

My interest in understanding something about the night life took me to Sopot, some kind of Boulevar where polish youth spend the summer. Bars, stores and Discoteques like "Coco Bongo" are some of the stuffs in Sopot. How do you arrive to Sopot? Easy, just take a train from the Gdansk train station and that's all. It's not so far, just 20min, paying 3.50 zloty. But the most anecdotal moment of that night in Sopot was  a beer from 12% alcohol that I drank! Ok, I could say It was really good, but after 2 more 7%alcohol beers ... I couldn't stand up by myself! Dziekuje Rafal!

At the end the challenge was how to come back alone to Bajki, The housing that I'd been hosted, kinda dangerous if someone walks alone in the nigth.

In the following days I walked around the city, a city full of dutch style buildings. There is a contact between the city and the water, that's why the channels are part of the structure of the city. Does Gdansk is a mix of Venice and Brugges?

I had amazing moments in Gdansk with a really amazing person, walking around, going to the beach (Westerplate and some other beaches)

Bratislava ... When the beer conquer the body, becomes Partyslava

No matter How I'd arrived to this mysterious city. No matter how weird experience, such a Hostel film I could have. No matter how many Euros i had in my pocket. The fact is how big was the expectance to know an interesting city.

Nobody knows but the main reason to go there was not because I wanted, but yes because It was the only cheap way to arrive to Gdansk. I will explain you later...

After having arrived to "Hlavna stanica", one girl invited me to go with her to the shopping center, which name I really dont remember. Just being polite I said - Ok, let's go - . During all the time with her in the shopping center, I could note how a "dressed in black" guy (skin head) was follow us, with a mobile in the hand, always looking me. Ok, call me "pussy", but It was not a nice "Wellcome to Bratislava".

Anyway, I took the autobus to arrive to the bus parade, where my "couchsurfer" Dea, was waiting for me. Did she have to wait me?. She found me in the opposite side of the bus station! To be honest it was my mistake. I should cross the street, but I didnt. Great her flat, with a great view, full of cats.

Ok, An amazing party I had in this city, where the people were really friendly. Despite I've been 2 days in Bratislava, I could taste the essence of it and its people. I could meet amazing people (even I met a compatriot).

It was a bit sad to leave the city, but just thinking to follow thru, to my destiny, because I still had a long trip to do. If you want to visit Bratislava, DO IT! Just don't forget your health insurace, and try to keep in mind all tips to survive after a f** big hangover! And don't worry if you have to go to a party in a old factory, nobody will kill you! just drink and drink!!
